GLOBALEX 2019: Lexicography and Neologism 2019
The Globalex Workshop on Lexicography and Neologism (GWLN 2019) will be held in conjunction with DSNA 22, the 22nd biennial meeting of the Dictionary Society of North America, at Indiana University, Bloomington, on 8 May 2019.
GWLN 2019 will focus on issues related to the detection of neologisms – including new words, new meanings of existing words, and new multiword units – and their representation in lexicography and dictionaries.
GLOBALEX 2018: The aim of this workshop is to explore the development of global standards for the evaluation of lexicographic resources and their incorporation into new LT services and other devices. This is the second workshop organized by GLOBALEX, a constellation of the major continental associations of lexicography, this time in cooperation with the Global WordNet Association. The focus of this workshop is Lexicography and WordNets. It seeks to promote cooperation with related fields of LT for all languages worldwide, and is intended to bridge existing gaps within and among such different research fields and interest groups.
GLOBALEX 2016: Lexicographic Resources for Human Language Technology (LREC 2016)
The aim of the workshop was to explore the development of global standards for the evaluation of lexicographic resources and their incorporation with new language technology services and other devices. The target audience included lexicographers, computational and corpus linguists and researchers working in the fields of HLT, Linked Data, the Semantic Web, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
