The Association of Lexicography for the Americas: South, Central, Caribbean, and Mexico (Americalex-S) is an association for lexicography in South and Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Americalex-S aims to promote lexicographic research, development, knowledge-sharing and cooperation throughout this region and for its approximately 560 languages, with the support of an international network of lexicographers, scholars, teachers, students, publishers and other professionals interested in lexicography from academia and the industry.

The need for an association like Americalex-S was first broached at the DNSA 2019 conference by the then President of EURALEX, Gilles-Maurice de Schryver (Belgium), and the then immediate past President of ASIALEX, Ilan Kernerman (Israel). Regiani Aparecida Santos Zacarias (Brazil) and Irene Renau (Chile) were very receptive to the idea, and took the initiative heroically forward. The official establishment of the association eventually took place at the Americalex-S Inaugural Conference, organised by Regiani Aparecida Santos Zacarias and held at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, 20-25 October 2023, where Gilles-Maurice de Schryver delivered the inaugural keynote address and led the first general meeting.

For the first time in human history, then, as of October 25, 2023, all continents (save Antarctica) now have their lexicographic association.
