Call for papers

The seventh Globalex Workshop on Lexicography and Neology (GWLN-7) will be held in conjunction with eLex 2025 in Bled, Slovenia, on 20 November 2025.

The GWLN series aims to bring together research and methodological perspectives from across the world on the detection, evaluation, classification and description of neologisms with a particular focus on their processing and representation in lexicographic resources for diverse languages.

GWLN takes place annually, with the support of the Global Alliance for Lexicography (Globalex). The first six iterations were held in conjunction with the international conferences of different continental associations for lexicography. For this seventh edition, we are happy to co-locate with the eLex series of conferences on electronic lexicography in the 21st century.

We invite abstracts for oral presentations. Submissions must highlight the connection between lexicography and neology and will be peer-reviewed by two members of the Scientific Committee. The authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper for publication in the eLex 2025 proceedings (indexed by SCOPUS).

Anonymous abstracts of 500 to 800 words, including references, should be submitted through EasyChair.
